When asked my drink of choice, I never have to think twice. It’s a classic, mint mojito. Refreshing, simple, and delicious.
A couple years ago, on a hot summer day, I perfected the classic mojito. It doesn’t have to be a ton of fuss and a mess of ingredients all over your kitchen. This recipe consists of four ingredients and you’ll be earning the title of master mojito maker in no time.
After noticing that National Mojito Day was on July 11th (and coincidentally, the day I wrote up this post), I decided I wanted to share my super simple recipe with you.
This is the perfect drink for everything from entertaining guests to relaxing outside on a warm summer evening.
You’ll want to save this recipe for later, because I can promise you’ll be enjoying this all season long. I’ve gone through my fair share of limes in the past couple of years just to make this delicious beverage!
4-Ingredient Mint Mojito
Ingredients
- 1 oz Keep It Simple Syrup – Spearmint
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
- bubly Sparkling Water – Lime to fill the rest of the glass
Instructions
- Serve in a 9oz glass over crushed ice or reusable ice cubes

It’s literally SO simple it’s unreal. It took me like 5 minutes to make two drinks, which I love. No muddling of mint and it’s just super refreshing and delicious!

Well, I don’t muddle mint and mix in sugar – but the mint simple syrup is where the sweetness comes in. Don’t worry – it’s still sweet, but still super refreshing!

Adding the Bubly was a recent change for me – I always just used club soda for the carbonation. I will say I like this addition because it’s a bit more lime flavor AND it’s extra bubbly hehe

Actually, there’s no lemon at all. A classic mojito is based around limes and mint – so I kept true to the original style with fresh lime juice and then added my own twist with the lime-flavored sparkling water!

That certainly sounds yummy. I try to avoid muddling fresh mint because I don’t enjoy the texture in my drink – so I use a simple syrup instead!

It’s been so fun to perfect my recipe over the past year. I’ve learned the right ratio of simple syrup to rum and now the addition of the lime Bubly is something I’m LOVING!

I don’t have mojitos very often but I really like them. Usually I don’t make them at home because recipes involve muddling mint and who has time for that, haha! I really like the idea of using a mint simple syrup!
