Recently, I finished THE SUN AND THE STARMAKER by @timesnewrachel ☀️ While it was quite different from the modern, witchy fantasy books I’ve come to associate with her (otherwise known as some of my favorite books of all time), she has created a signature style of storytelling that made reading *this book* feel like coming home 🥰

I felt it instantly when I sensed her intense love for nature and the earth woven through the story, paired with such atmospheric writing that I regularly forgot I was not *in* the ethereal, whimsical world I was reading about 🌌 I felt it again in the way she writes of longing and love so powerful that there’s no doubt the characters will overcome every obstacle they face together 🤎 I felt it once more when I began to cry over supporting characters that (possibly) weren’t meant to elicit such strong emotions in the first place 🥹

THE SUN AND THE STARMAKER was everything I could possibly hope and dream a fairytale would be. It was beautiful and magical, and left me feeling so filled with joy and hope. It’s an absolute masterpiece 🙌🏼

12 Beauty Products I Definitely Want to Purchase Again

I completely emptied twelve beauty products during this spring season!

Some of these products are tried-and-true, and I’ve already repurchased them many times. Some of them are brand new, and I’m going to share whether or not they’re worth buying again, and if I’ve done so yet or not!

I love watching “empties” videos on YouTube or reading about which products other bloggers have finished and decided to love or leave in the process. It helps me determine which items are worth investing in for myself. Hopefully, this will do the same for you!

12 Must-Have Makeup and Skincare Products for Summer 2020

Keep reading to learn which empties I’ve repurchased or plan to buy again in the future!

Raw Sugar Raw Coconut + Mango Body Wash

This body wash is moisturizing, without leaving residue on my skin. It’s also clean, vegan, and cruelty-free!
Would I repurchase? Yes!

Batiste Hint of Color Divine Dark Dry Shampoo

I’ve been using this dry shampoo religiously for several years now. Definitely nothing new to me, and I still love it just as much.
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser

I’ve been using this every other day for a year or so, and because the exfoliating beads are so gentle, it isn’t overly harsh on my skin.
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Urban Decay Stay Naked The Fix Powder Foundation

Initially, I didn’t care for this product, but I came to love it as I tested it over other foundations and concealers. It adds coverage and doesn’t get cakey!
Would I repurchase? Yes!

Catrice Prime And Fine Dewy Glow Finish Spray – Illuminating

This is my favorite setting spray of all time and I buy it in bulk every few months. It adds a natural glow, sets everything in place, and it smells good! Plus, it’s super affordable.
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Glee Summer Lily Shave Mousse

This was originally gifted to me for Instagram, then I had the opportunity to partner with the brand on a campaign, and now I regularly purchase the product because I love it so much! It lasts forever, keeps my legs smooth, and smells fabulous.
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Joico Color Intensity Semi-Permanent Hair Color – Red

I purchased this last year, when I first got my red balayage done. My stylist told me to add a bit of red dye to my conditioner every once in a while to keep the color bright. I finally finished my first tube during quarantine!
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Neutrogena Moisturesmooth Color Stick – Sweet Watermelon

I basically never wear lipstick or lipgloss, because I have to have tons of moisture. Well, I finally found an alternative with these Moisturesmooth Color Sticks. They’re basically like colored lip balm, and they don’t get sticky or cakey.
Would I repurchase? Yes!

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder

I purchased this when my favorite translucent powder was discontinued. This one says it’s translucent but it’s definitely not, especially if you’re fair-skinned. I wish they’d bring back the other formula.
Would you repurchase? No.

L’Oréal Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer – Eggshell

This concealer is a nearly identical dupe for Tarte Shape Tape, and I may actually love it more. I find it doesn’t crease as much, and easily applies beneath or on top of foundation/BB cream/etc.
Would you repurchase? Yes – and I have.

Hello Activated Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste

I began by purchasing the sensitivity relief version of this item, but then they stopped carrying it in-store. I switched to this one, and love it! Beware: it’s black, so it makes your teeth look spooky, and stains clothing easily.
Would I repurchase? Yes – and I have!

Pantene Rose Water Shampoo and Conditioner

I bought this on a whim when one of my favorite influencers posted about it, and I really like it! I think if I had the money to afford my salon’s products, I’d get those instead, but this is good for the interim.
Would I repurchase? Yes – out of necessity.

Well, I now have about 5 tabs open of products I’m interested in purchasing, haha! Especially the body wash and exfoliating cleanser. I also really love that the items you use/share are affordable too! Sometimes I see things and I’m interested in trying them but the price point is so high it’s hard to justify when I’m not even sure it will be right for me.
