This post is in partnership with Chapters Tea & Coffee. As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support The Espresso Edition.
Calling all bookworms who love cozy, warm beverages! Chapters Tea & Coffee is about to become your new favorite small shop for tea and coffee.
I’m someone who prides myself in always having a stocked tea and coffee cabinet because these kinds of drinks are an absolute must when it comes time to curl up with my current book. It’s rare to find me without a mug of something delicious to enjoy while I’m reading. While the name The Espresso Edition indicates that I’m a coffee girly through and through (and I am–can’t live without my morning cup of joe), I also love tea. In fact, I’m an equal-opportunity warm beverage sipper, which is why I was so excited to give Chapters Tea & Coffee a try.
Chapters Tea & Coffee is a small business that offers both loose leaf teas and premium coffee roasts that are designed for book lovers. While their products immediately piqued my interest, I was also thrilled to find out that 5% of net profits are donated to Active Minds, the national leader for young adult mental health advocacy and suicide prevention. As someone who greatly prioritizes mental health and wellness, this really made me eager to support them and share their company with all of you!

So what do I really think of the tea blends I received from Chapters Tea & Coffee? Let me tell you more about them!
I picked out two teas for myself: Poet’s Study, a classic Earl Grey blend, and Chai Café Vanilla, a chai with vanilla notes. Now, I decided to do something a little bizarre with my choices here. Chai is my favorite kind of warm beverage outside of coffee, but Earl Grey is a tea that I’ve never been fully sold on. It was important to me to experience them both to come to a really honest conclusion about their teas. They have the best descriptions ever, so I’m going to share those and then give you my thoughts.
Poet’s Study: Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s enigmatic spirit and modern Dark Academia. Each small batch is meticulously blended and has been called “the best Earl Grey I have ever tasted” by some serious tea snobs. Perfect for fueling your creative pursuits, doing work, reading, or when you’re just feeling a mood. Steep a cup and immerse yourself in the world of poetic genius and the mysterious Victorian Gothic. This tea surprised me so much! It’s incredibly earthy and bold and I thoroughly enjoyed pairing it with a little bit of sweetness in the form of butter cookies. I would absolutely indulge in many more cups of this tea.
Chai Café Vanilla: Our artist’s drawing of a cozy café is a place made to unwind and take in the story of your life and those around you. Taste a delightful flavor profile of spices, vanilla, and a lively ginger finish accentuated by candy cardamom that tastes great hot or iced. I’m incredibly picky when it comes to chai because I love it so much, but I can easily say this is the best chai I’ve ever tasted. It’s got the perfect balance of nutty, spicy, and sweet, and I spent several hours nursing my mug because I didn’t want to finish it!
*Side note: Chapters Tea & Coffee also offers beverage accessories like adorable feather teaspoons and eco-friendly drawstring bags. I have so many methods for steeping loose leaf tea, but I think these bags may be my new favorite! They allow me to get a really strong mug of tea and they’re easy clean-up!
We’ve covered the tea blends, but now I need to share my thoughts on the coffee roasts!
I picked out two coffees for myself: Raven’s Roast, a premium dark roast, and Chapters Café Roast, their premium espresso roast. It’s possible I’m pickier with my coffee than I am with my tea (though that’s still to be determined), so I chose whole beans for both of these roasts and ground them differently to make sure I was experiencing them in the best ways possible. I ground the dark roast for drip coffee and the espresso for, well, espresso! Now I get to share their descriptions and how I felt about each of them.
Raven’s Roast: Born from the dark corners of Edgar Allan Poe’s mind, this coffee embodies the depths of the Victorian Gothic. Bold, dark, and smooth – it’s the liquid equivalent of a moonlit library, where the echoes of whispered tales linger in the air. Raven’s Roast is not just premium coffee, it’s a journey into the midnight realms of imagination. I didn’t intentionally pick two Poe-inspired beverages, but it sure is funny that it worked out that way (especially considering the fact that I grew up in the same city where he was raised and where the Poe Museum resides). I loved the richness of this coffee. It is an excellent roast to enjoy with baked goods and desserts!
Chapters Café Roast: Connect with cozy in our artist’s illustration of a creative, bookish cafe. Brew the perfect cup of velvety smooth espresso coffee, and connect with your pursuits, or the perfect book. I can see why this was designed as an espresso roast because it truly made the most perfect latte. Since that’s what I normally drink each morning, I was instantly excited about the idea of starting every day with this coffee (and I’ll most likely purchase several more bags in the future).
Chapters Tea & Coffee absolutely blew me away with their fantastic tea blends and coffee roasts. They have box sets that make wonderful gifts, bookmarks to match the stunning hand-illustrated designs on each pouch, and they even offer wholesale! I will absolutely be shopping from this small business again and I recommend you check them out as well.
These sound delicious!
