The list of new book releases in December 2023 is much smaller than usual, but it still packs a punch to finish out the year! In this post, you’ll find the top 18 must-reads coming out this month.
I was relatively surprised to find that there weren’t nearly as many books coming out in December as I anticipated. I suppose the bulk of holiday books come out mid-autumn so that they can be purchased and read before and during the Christmas season. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any titles to add to your reading list. A few of these are already on mine (like Heartstopper Volume 5 and This Cursed Light) and I’ve even read one of them and spent copious amounts of time raving about it because I think everyone else should read it too (The Second Chance Year).
Some of these were completely unfamiliar to me and others are highly anticipated on bookstagram (like Gold and Ruthless Vows, which I’ve been hearing about nonstop)! It’s fun to see what’s coming out this last month of the year and I really hope everyone enjoys the ones they’ve been most looking forward to. Let me know if any of these catch your eye. I think I’m especially excited about most of the fantasy books and I definitely added a few of the titles to my own TBR.
