Whenever someone asks me for book recommendations, I always, without fail, suggest this novel 🙌🏼 The first time I read it, I fell in love with it, and every reread since has made me appreciate it more and more 🥹 It’s an absolutely phenomenal story and I think everyone should pick it up (especially during Bi Visibility Month, just saying) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you prefer to savor one book for an extended period of time, or do you tend to fly through your reads pretty quickly? 💨

Normally, I would say that I fly through books—inhaling them more than savoring them 😅 But lately, I’ve been spending more time with my stories and really diving into them, getting to know the characters and the world even better! 🙌🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s something nice about slowing down and reading little bits at a time, sometimes even discussing them with a friend, reading more, theorizing about the plot, then reading a little more, etc. 🤎 It feels good to appreciate the book rather than gobbling it up (though who knows how long this “savor it” mindset will last 😆)

I somehow missed the Eragon craze as a kid, but when I picked it up earlier this year, I was captivated! 🐉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As soon as I finished it, I shoved my copy into the hands of my 16-year-old nephew (who is an aspiring fantasy author) and went, “YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!” 😂 Spoiler alert: he loved it and flew through the entire rest of the series in the span of a couple weeks 🙌🏼

Until somewhat recently, I would’ve answered FANTASY without any hesitation ⚔️ However, in the last couple of years, I’ve reached for more romances than anything else 🤎

I’m not sure if this is because I’m enjoying newer romances more than newer fantasy or if my tastes are just changing entirely or what 😅 While I do still love my vampires and werewolves now and again, I definitely tend to get more excited about a cute HEA nowadays 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me, it was Five Broken Blades, which completely blew me away! 😱 It hooked me from the very beginning of the story and kept my interest all the way to the end… and I can’t WAIT for the next book in the series! ⏳

I didn’t read TATBILB until *after* the first movie came out, which is incredibly unlike me... but I didn’t know it was a book series! 😱 I somehow missed the Jenny Han craze when I was a teen, so after falling head over heels in love with the films (the first one is definitely a comfort movie for me), I picked up the trilogy and was immediately bummed that I never read them in high school because I would’ve been a major fangirl! 🙈

I got just a wee bit emotional when @simonteen sent me this special keepsake edition of the first book in the series 🥹 It’s seriously adorable and makes my teen romcom-loving heart super happy 🤎
