Alright, Stephanie – it’s September, but it’s not cold yet. So what kind of dress can I wear now and wear again later on?
That’s a great question! 
Someone the other day quizzed me on the best dresses for autumn days, and I knew immediately which piece to share. This dress from Chicwish is about as versatile as it gets. You can easily wear it to work, since the neckline is adjustable with a clasp, and the hem isn’t too short. You can also wear it with sneakers and a denim jacket for a more casual “running errands” kinda look. Or you could just as effortlessly wear it for a date night with cute heels and some simple accessories (like I did)! Don’t even get me started on how adorable it would look with an oversized cardigan and booties once the cooler temperatures begin to settle!
Needless to say, this is an excellent dress to purchase as we head into fall. And remember that once it’s too cold to wear it anymore, you can stash it away to bring back for Valentine’s Day! The wrap design is definitely not going anywhere for quite some time. While the dress is more on the “pricey” side, note that it’s higher quality and a classic fit, so you’ll get great use out of it. Cost per wear, baby!

I’ve found some of the key shopping points for autumnal daytime dresses.
Color (you want them to be richer colors or patterned with those deep jewel tones), length of either sleeves or hem (stick to long sleeves for a mini dress or shorter sleeves on a midi or maxi dress), and material (tweeds, thicker sweater dresses, or even sheered items you can layer with). Think about it this way – if you can layer a comfy long-sleeve tee under it, throw a cardigan or denim jacket over it, wear sneakers or boots with it, and be comfortable – GET THE DRESS.
