Recently, I finished THE SUN AND THE STARMAKER by @timesnewrachel ☀️ While it was quite different from the modern, witchy fantasy books I’ve come to associate with her (otherwise known as some of my favorite books of all time), she has created a signature style of storytelling that made reading *this book* feel like coming home 🥰

I felt it instantly when I sensed her intense love for nature and the earth woven through the story, paired with such atmospheric writing that I regularly forgot I was not *in* the ethereal, whimsical world I was reading about 🌌 I felt it again in the way she writes of longing and love so powerful that there’s no doubt the characters will overcome every obstacle they face together 🤎 I felt it once more when I began to cry over supporting characters that (possibly) weren’t meant to elicit such strong emotions in the first place 🥹

THE SUN AND THE STARMAKER was everything I could possibly hope and dream a fairytale would be. It was beautiful and magical, and left me feeling so filled with joy and hope. It’s an absolute masterpiece 🙌🏼

Amazon Holiday Decorations Under $80

Amazon Holiday Decorations Under $80 by The Espresso Edition cozy book and lifestyle blog

Maybe you already decorated, or maybe you’re waiting to be festive the week of Christmas. Either way, I’m sharing Amazon holiday decorations under $80!

Okay, so I typically put up my tree on the first week of November. Not everyone enjoys putting their decorations up so early, I know, but I love it. Sometimes I wait until around Thanksgiving, but either way, you can guarantee that my decor is always up before Thanksgiving arrives. It’s so nice having the warm glow of the lights when I walk into the living room in the morning. It’s also so cozy to curl up on the couch with the lights strung around me.

There’s something truly magical about decorating for Christmas. If it’s the most wonderful time of the year, why not make it the longest, right? It’s tempting to leave the lights up all year round (or at least until January, as Taylor Swift suggests). I want to share some of the bargains I’ve found when it comes to Amazon holiday decorations over the years for you to use in your home, whether you snag them for this holiday season or the future!

Amazon Holiday Decorations Under $80 by The Espresso Edition cozy book and lifestyle blog

I scoured the depths of Amazon to find the cheeriest decor under $80.

I don’t find myself spending much on decorations for the holiday season. These are pieces that will be up for a month or two (or maybe three if you’re really dedicated to the festive spirit) and then put away. However, you can certainly spruce up your space on a budget. Whether you stick with a theme, add a little bit of everything, or keep things super minimal, hopefully, these Amazon holiday decorations will help you out!

Trees

It’s super encouraging to see so many great Christmas trees under $80. You might decide to invest in something a little more luxurious, but know that it’s possible to stay on a tight budget!

Tree Skirts + Collars

A sure way to spice up the Christmas tree is by adding a beautiful tree skirt or unique tree collar. I’ve had a few skirts over the years, but in 2022 I’m testing out the collar style and it’s so pretty!

Ornaments

Maybe you like a themed tree or maybe you’re someone who enjoys mixing and matching personal ornaments from over the years. I like a combination of both. I start with a base of matching Christmas balls and then add in our sentimental pieces.

Garlands + Wreaths

Garland is one of the simplest ways to elevate a space for the holiday season! String lights around it, put it over a mirror, hang it across a doorway, the options are endless. Wreaths can be used similarly. Yes, you can put them on your front door, but you can also put them in windows or over a decorative mirror. So fun.

Gift Wrapping

I don’t know about you, but I take wrapping almost as seriously as my wreaths. I make sure it looks good enough to be a decoration under my tree, even if I wait to put it all out on Christmas Eve (ya know, because cats).

Textiles

From stockings to pillow covers to table runners and more, it’s the little things that really make the decorations extra special.

Miscellaneous

I’m a sucker for a cheesy Christmas sign. I love a festive little plate or knick-knack on a kitchen table or bookshelf. It’s fun to have the more kitschy items during the holiday season. Don’t look at it as clutter–look at it as cheer!

Did you add any Amazon holiday decorations to your home this year?

Amazon’s selection for holiday decor this year is so good! I love how they continue to expand the brands that they carry and always have exceptional prices. Every year I exchange ornaments with my siblings and every year I buy them on Amazon because they have the most unique selection.

I recently bought a pink hanging ‘Merry Christmas’ sign with gold glitter that goes perfectly with my room decor, and got a reindeer head outline that lights up! I’m not usually one to decorate my room but I just couldn’t resist them! x

I LOVE this compilation of holiday decor! My husband and I usually get a live tree (on HIS insistence… but we usually get our tree from a local public school holding a fundraiser so at least the money goes to a good cause!) and our tradition is getting a picture frame ornament every year and we put our favorite memory of the year in it!
I am, however, going to lobby for one of the wreaths you featured – I love them all, I don’t know which one to choose!

Who are your favorite book pets? 🐈‍⬛ I absolutely Who are your favorite book pets? 🐈‍⬛

I absolutely love when a book has animals in it—whether that’s someone’s pet, familiar, or when the animal is the main character 😻

I’m always absurdly happy when there’s a cat, and if they have a creative name it’s even better. I think the stand-out for me was a cat named The Darkling in Accidentally Amy. I’ll never forget it! 😂

Do you have a furbaby companion? Tell me all about them! 🐾
