When I planned my June 2024 reading list, I had no idea I would find so many new favorites. This turned out to be an excellent reading month!
Since June was Pride Month, my goal was to read queer. If you’ve browsed any of my recaps over the years, you already know that I read queer all year and always will, but I wanted to celebrate Pride by focusing on those novels in particular. My TBR list was filled with queer books only, and I managed to read almost all of them!
The only books from my June TBR that I didn’t complete were The Tainted Cup and Girls of Paper and Fire. I had to DNF The Tainted Cup because it was due at my library before I had a chance to finish it, but I definitely plan to pick it up again in the future, because it was a fascinating concept. I started Girls of Paper and Fire on the last day of June but finished it on July 1st, so you’ll see my rating for that next month!
I wound up picking up a few books I didn’t plan to read, which only made things better! I’ve been wanting to watch the adaptation of Turtles All the Way Down, so I reread that (and fell in love with it all over again). My library holds for both Savor It and The Rule Book came in, so I also read those two, which was wonderful.
Overall, my June 2024 reading month was pretty fantastic. I discovered so many new favorites–Here We Go Again and Late Bloomer being top of my list–and enjoyed expanding my list of queer authors and novels to recommend to others as well! Keep scrolling to see what I thought of the ten books I read in June.
