I have had the itch to travel since I was a little girl. In elementary and middle school, I found a way to make every report I wrote about Hawaii, whether it was the culture, the volcanos, the food, or the sea creatures found around the coast. I was desperate to visit, so I learned everything I could. I wish I could say I’ve visited and made my 10-year-old self’s heart happy, but that’s not the case. I’m still lusting to wander – not only to Hawaii, but now to so many other places as well! Since I began my blogging journey, I’ve followed other bloggers who have been everywhere from Costa Rica, to Greece, to Thailand, and everything in between. Not only have I seen bloggers travel to these exotic places, but I’ve made friends in other countries, as well. My heart is now taken by so many beautiful lands, and as She Saw Style begins to grow, I am hoping to expand at some point to travel blogging as well. The wanderlust is incredibly strong in my veins.
When I put together this outfit, I was reminded of the carefree bohemian style that I constantly see in Italian fashion. I even somehow found a location in super hipster RVA that resembled the Tuscan villages that I long to explore. This top from Tolani Collection has quickly become a favorite of mine for this early autumn weather. It’s a sheer, deep-aqua material with the most beautiful gold embroidery. The peasant, tunic fit sort of made me feel like a genie, and if I could grant myself three wishes, I know at least one of them would be to visit the country whose style I was channeling. From Venice to Capri to Milan and Rome, I wish I could teleport straight from my bed where I’m blogging right now to the prettiest places that Italy has to offer.
I chose to take a darker approach to this outfit to make it more suitable for autumn, and so I wore faux leather leggings beneath my flowing blouse and topped off the look with my go-to fedora (the only hat that has ever properly fit my tiny head). My accessories adorned me in golden hues, from my tiny cactus pendant from CAM Jewelry to the studs on my Avoce mules.
If you could drop everything and travel to anywhere in the world at this moment with all expenses paid, where would you go? What would you do once you got there? I used to know without a doubt that Hawaii was the place for me, then through my teenage years I was obsessed with the thought of romantic Paris, but recently my heart has been set on Greece and Italy. I love the clean, minimalistic villages in Santorini and Mykonos, and the places I listed earlier that are in Italy have not only the most stunning views, but the yummiest food! There are so many places in this incredible world to explore. Who’s coming with me?
