Current situation: curled up in one of my coziest cardigans from last year, listening to the leaves rustling outside my open window, enjoying the scent of a burning “Leaves” candle fromΒ Bath & Body Works, and eating my weight in fun-sized Snickers that are probablyΒ meant to be handed out on Halloween. Β I couldn’t ask for a more perfect autumn day. Β When the rains slow and the air becomes crisp and clear with not a cloud in the sky and you can watch as the leaves cascade down onto your car while you’re driving out to a pumpkin patch –Β that is when my heart is the happiest. Β Since that scenario is finally coming to fruition here in RVA, I’m pulling out my softest sweaters for the long, chilly months ahead.
This particular knit is fromΒ Lolly Clothing and was actually designed to be a dress. Β However, my long frame hardly allows for me to wear most dresses, so I turned it into a tunic-length top and wore it over denim! Β Honestly, that made me love the piece even more, because I’ve always been a fan of extra-long shirts. Β There’s no concern of my booty hanging out when I bend over, and I don’t have to worry about any showing skin having goosebumps on goosebumps from the cold.
One accessory that has never failed to be my best friend during the cooler months is my scarves! Β When I was younger, my scarf collection was nearly as excessive as my sunglasses collection is now. Β When the leaves begin to fall, I begin to buy more and more scarves – especially blanket scarves. Β These serve a duel purpose! Β They’re great to wear as a cuteΒ accessory, but they’re also fantastic when you go into a freezing movie theater and you wish you had a blanket to curl up with. Β There’s also a million ways to style them, which I really had no idea about until I watched this video by the queen of scarves herself, Miss Emily Ann GemmaΒ (a serious style inspiration of mine)!
I’ve been loving my long hair lately! Β When I was in high school, my hair was nearly to my butt, and then after graduation, I chopped it into a bob, and kept it that way for several years. Β It wasn’t until last summer that I decided to let it grow back out again, and man, has it been a process! Β Because of my health issues (does anyone want an update on that, by the way? Β I realize, I haven’t talked about it in a long time) the strength of my hair and nails and the quality of my skin is just terrible. Β I’m vitamin-deficient now, so it makes growing out healthy hair quite the challenge. Β I’m thankful for these Irresistible MeΒ extensions that give me the thickness and length I’ve been so desperate for! Β Can’t wait to share how I style them to blend with my shorter hair soon.
Do you like wearing scarves? Β If so, which style is your favorite? Β Are you more into the classic rectangle shape, chunky infinity scarves, or blankets like mine? Β Have you found any unique ways to wear them that you haven’t seen on anyone else? Β I’m always searching for new ways to wrap mine and make it look different!

Haha that seems to be a running theme from all my LA babes. It’s too warm there, still? Ah, that would drive me crazy. I love fall! Hopefully it’ll get chilly soon π Omg aren’t B&BW candles the bees knees? I used to do such major hauls of them in high school. I’ve had to rein back since then haha.
