How fitting is it that my final post for October is all Harry Potter-esque and just in time for Halloween?
With all the wedding craziness going on, I haven’t even thought about costumes for one second. However, when Carytown Cupcakes launched their annual “Cary Potter” event (they turn their whole cupcake shop into a Harry Potter universe each October), I knew I couldn’t miss it. This is my version of Halloween goodness, and I’ll most likely end up snuggled in bed on Halloween night watching (or reading) “Goblet of Fire.” Every year, I enjoy their Harry Potter-themed cupcakes, and the shop decorated to the nines, but I hadn’t taken any photos! So, this year, I decided to change that, with the help of my photographer, Meredith. We had so much fun eating butterbeer cupcakes, ogling at the hanging Hogwarts letters, and listening to the soundtrack serenade us.
Obviously, this was my favorite “event” of October, but I also wanted to share with you all the other fun things this past month brought my way!

Favorite Clothing Items
I purchased this sweater last year, but it’s already making a sweet return as one of my most-worn tops for fall.
Honestly, I can’t get over how feminine and beautiful this pullover is. As you can tell in the photos from this post, it’s quite chunky and cozy. I can’t wait to bring it along on my honeymoon!
You would be utterly shocked at how lightweight these earrings are. I certainly was! They also come in several beautiful colors.
Another item I purchased last year, but am already donning for this season, these booties will last me quite a while, if you ask me!
I can’t even begin to tell you how many compliments I’ve received while wearing these earrings. They’re beyond stunning, and they match with everything!
Favorite Skincare & Makeup Items
Several months back, I received this palette. It was only during the month of October that I found the true beauty of it!
This primer actually follows through on what it’s created to do. It reduces pores and makes the skin a smooth, matte surface to spread foundation upon.
If your skin tends to get dry and flaky during the cooler months, this moisturizer will become your best friend. It’s lightweight, but insanely hydrating!
I mentioned last month that I’m reading through the Harry Potter series, and that’s still the case. I’m about to begin Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I’m loving every second of these stories!
Favorite TV Shows & Movies
All of my fall series’ are on! So, I’ve been binging This is Us, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, The Good Place, and Manifest (this one is new). I’m also still trying to complete The Office with my fiancé!
Favorite Food & Drinks
When I’m working in my cloffice, I find that I always want Jalepeño Cheetos. Maybe that’s not the healthiest option ever, but they’re so dang delicious.
La Croix is my BFF forever and always. I don’t care what anyone says about the taste. The coconut flavor is my favorite, with tangerine following closely in second place. It’s such a great substitution for sugary soda!
Sarah Reeves released her latest album “Easy Never Needed You” and I can’t get enough.
For some reason, after “Woman Like Me” was dropped by Little Mix, I felt the need to go back and listen to all their old music as well. So the “This Is Little Mix” playlist has been my go-to.
I’m crazy in love with For King & Country’s latest album, “Burn The Ships,” though I wish it were longer!
Favorite Blog Posts & Your Favorites Too
To be quite honest, October held all my favorite posts from this year, I think!
Y’all loved this post about layering. And I did too! It’s just such a great hack!
Unsurprisingly my favorite post of the month was one of the most-read I’ve had all year. This one about my bridal shower was a total winner!
I let my nerdy side out in this post and it was so much fun.
Obviously, it goes without saying that Carytown Cupcakes takes the cake (ha ha) as my favorite place for October! This Harry Potter goodness was just irresistible!
To say I’m excited about the West Elm opening would be a major understatement. It’s going to be a danger to my wallet, considering the fact that I’m about to move into my new home!
